Thanks to all the hard work of our forebearers, Spence Neighbourhood is lucky to have many gardens and green spaces. EOS manages 9 community gardens as well as the Co-op Community Greenhouse.

Community Garden Application

Hello gardeners! Do you want a free garden plot in one of the Spence Community Gardens?

Applications are open for 2026! New and returning gardeners are welcome.

Get free seedlings, learn gardening skills at workshops, and build community outdoors!

Fill out the application form here, or pick up an application from the MERC (430 Langside Street), which can be dropped off through the mail slot at our 615 Ellice Avenue office or emailed to greenhouse@spenceneighbourhood.org.
