Frontline Workers Recognition Ceremony
The Youth Safety Network, based out of the Spence Neighbourhood Association Inc. established the Frontline Workers Recognition Ceremony in 2026 to acknowledge frontline workers and their contributions to making Winnipeg a safer and more inclusive place.
Frontline workers are the backbone of our community and the hands-on heart workers who show up to help every day. Despite how essential they are to Winnipeg, they are severely overlooked and their work goes unrecognized. This event will acknowledge these hardworking individuals and remind them of how important they are to our neighbourhoods.
Our nomination process will allow anyone to nominate a frontline worker they believe has contributed significantly to the community. After the nomination process, our recognition committee will select recipients who will be awarded a gift for their efforts and be publicly recognized at the ceremony.
Through this ceremony, we hope to reduce the feelings of burnout that frontline workers might experience. We see the broader Winnipeg community benefitting from the FWRC due to the increased awareness and acknowledgement of the experiences frontline workers are facing.
