Central Neighbourhood Small Grants Program

To qualify for the grant, the project must:

• Be sponsored by local groups (not individuals).
• Take place in and benefit the residents of the Central Neighbourhoods of Central Park, Centennial and West Alexander.
• Reflect the program objective of community building/connecting.
• Have identified support of local residents.
• Not be used for capital improvements to private property unless the property has been made available, free of charge for community use and the improvements relate to the proposed community use.
• Be completed by December 31st, 2026 and reported 30 days after the end of the project or by January 31, 2027, whichever is soonest.

Examples of eligible projects: block parties, community celebrations, neighbourhood cleanups, community gardens and other such projects that support community connecting.

Eligible costs include materials and supplies, equipment or other rentals and staffing costs, but cannot be used for stipends, gifts or honorariums for participation.
