The Spence Neighbourhood is a vibrant community located within a 25-block area of Winnipeg’s Inner City, bordered by Balmoral Street to the east, Agnes Street to the west, Portage Avenue to the south, and Notre Dame Avenue to the north.
The Spence Neighbourhood Association Inc. (SNA) is a non-profit organization that offers free community programming to residents of the Spence Neighbourhood.
Our primary service users are Indigenous and Newcomer families facing intersectional barriers such as poverty, racism, and limited access to economic opportunities, education, and housing.

Land Acknowledgement
Spence Neighbourhood Association Inc. acknowledges that we operate on the ancestral lands of Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional land of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, as well as the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We acknowledge our access to clean drinking water sourced by Shoal Lake #40 First Nation of Treaty 3 Territory.
We honour our connection to the land and people, recognizing our responsibility to work alongside Indigenous communities, the Red River Métis, and all First Nations Peoples across Turtle Island, including the Inuit of Canada.
