The Young Parents Employment Program or YPEP is for any young parents between the ages of 13 and 29 who are looking for work and have pre-school children.  This program is funded by the Winnipeg Foundation.

This program provides a job for the parent and a daycare for the child to stay (up to 4 children per parent). Both the work and the daycare are in the same building.  Daycare is provided by Happy Sprouts Childminding Services.

The parents receive training in resume building, first aid, WHMIS, as well as other training for employment skills. Anyone in this program is able to transfer into any of the other Community Economic Development programs – FJ4Y and Youth Crew (all three are integrated programs).  Once a week the parents prepare meals (such as packaged dinners) for the WE24 program.
