Teen Swim Program
Friends of Sherbrook Pool along with Spence Neighbourhood Association would like to offer youth ages 12 – 18 the opportunity to spend an evening at the Sherbrook Pool to develop some new swimming skills, play games and swim with their friends.
Due to suggestions from our last Teen Swim session, we will have two levels available for participants:
1. The Beginner level will be for those youth who have little or no experience swimming. This level will provide youth with basic floating and swimming skills. By the end of this level youth should be comfortable to go into the deep end without a life jacket and dive off the diving board.
2. The Advanced level will be for those youth who have strong swimming skills and want to learn advanced swimming strokes, diving and water sports like canoeing and water polo.
Teen Swim will takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7:30- 8:30 pm starting January 11th.
Please drop your children off at the Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre (430 Langside St.) at 6:30 pm and we will walk/drive to the Sherbrook Pool together. A drive home will also be provided for those youth who stay until the end of the lesson.
If you as a parent/guardian would like your teen to take part in Teen Swim please fill out the below Registration form and have your teen return it to Marleah Graff at Spence Neighbourhood Association.
If you have any questions regarding Teen Swim please contact Marleah at Spence Neighbourhood Association 333-5597
